Dian Solar Dedicates Rooftop Solar Power Plant to the SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery
Pacitan, August 8, 2025 – The SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery in Pacitan, East Java, has officially inaugurated the operation of a rooftop solar power plant (PLTS Atap), marking a concrete step in supporting Indonesia’s national energy transition agenda and long-term sustainable development goals. This project is the result of a collaboration with PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk, part of Sinar Mas’ energy and infrastructure pillar, through its subsidiary PT Daya Mas Agra Sejahtera (Dian Solar).
The newly inaugurated rooftop solar power plant has a capacity of 239.2 kWp, consisting of 416 solar panels, capable of generating 328,000 kWh of clean energy annually. Environmentally, this is equivalent to reducing 262,400 kilograms of CO₂ emissions per year—or the ecological benefit of planting nearly 12,000 trees every year.
The project was developed and completed by Dian Solar, which took full responsibility for the technical planning, construction, and commissioning of the rooftop solar PV system at the SBY*ANI Museum. “This milestone represents not only the commitment to solar energy adoption in our country but also the attention of leaders and statesmen toward renewable energy. We hope initiatives like this will inspire more communities to follow suit, accelerating Indonesia’s target of achieving a 23 percent renewable energy mix this year,” said Ferry Salman, Managing Director of Sinar Mas.
This initiative demonstrates how collaboration between the government, private sector, and local communities can drive energy transition. “We are honored to contribute to strengthening the vision of the SBYANI Museum & Gallery as a multidimensional gateway that provides the public with opportunities to learn and grow for a better future. Among these is the use of solar energy, which is not only clean and environmentally friendly but also supports the energy transition and a low-carbon economy,”* said Lokita Prasetya, Vice President Director of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk.
The partnership also reflects the implementation of the government’s Asta Cita mission, which places energy transition and national energy security as key pillars of long-term development. “Through green energy contributions from institutions like this museum, Indonesia proves that the Asta Cita vision is more than just rhetoric—it can be realized through concrete collaboration and the application of relevant technologies at the local level. Energy resilience is built from the ground up, through initiatives rooted in society,” said Ossy Dermawan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and Executive Director of the SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery.
The inauguration was held at the SBYANI Museum & Gallery Auditorium in Pacitan, East Java, on Friday, August 8, 2025. The event was attended by Ossy Dermawan, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN and Executive Director of the SBYANI Museum & Gallery; Emil E. Dardak, Vice Governor of East Java; and representatives from the Pacitan Regional Government, demonstrating strong institutional support for the initiative.
With this inauguration, Sinar Mas, through DSSA and Dian Solar, reinforces its role in supporting Indonesia’s clean energy roadmap. By leveraging technology, strategic partnerships, and community engagement, the project serves as a tangible example of how innovation, cultural heritage preservation, and environmental sustainability can go hand in hand.
